Bregje Hofstede is our new writer-in-residence since February 1st. She will stay at the Van Eyck for three months. During this period she will work in a studio among forty international artists, designers, curators and thinkers.
Bregje Hofstede (1988) is a Dutch author and art historian. Her first novel De hemel boven Parijs was published in 2014. This novel was on the longlist of the Gouden Boekenuil and the Libris Literatuurprijs.
Bregje publishes her short stories and essays in Das Magazin, De Gids, Tirade Hollands Maandblad and Kunstschrift among others. She is also co-author of De Verbeelders.
Hofstede was invited by the Duth Foundation for Literature and the Van Eyck. Van Eyck’s writer-in-residency programme is part of the Mirrorground. Each year 4 poets and writers will participate in this programme and will present their work.
