On Wednesday 30 September at 19:00 curators Arnisa Zeqo and Lauri Cluitmans will give a presentation on their work.
Arnisa Zeqo and Laurie Cluitmans are arthistorians and curators based in Amsterdam. In 2011 they were awarded De Hallen Haarlem young curator's award, for which they curated the exhibition 'He Disappeared into Complete Silence; Rereading a single artwork of Louise Bourgeois' accompanied by an extensive public program and publication.
Since they have been regular collaborators, a.o. for the Autonomy Project at the DAi and Van Abbemuseum, the Coca artprize and on a regular base for exhibitions and intimate gatherings at Rongwrong. Sometimes they also write together on art, culture and the everyday.
Laurie Cluitmans is gallery director for Fons Welters gallery and as independent curator has curated exhibitions for among others De Vleeshal, Middelburg and Sculpture International Rotterdam. Besides, she writes for a.o. MetropolisM and is an advisor at the Mondriaan Fund.
Arnisa Zeqo co founded rongwrong, a space for art and theory in 2011.
Recently she was curator in residence at Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard College where she read the diaries of Franz Kafka and focused on works of art at the edge of the performative. There she wrote the conceptual essay 'Let's Spit on Szeemann'. She is also an adviser for the Mondriaan Fund. In 2016 she will be working as coordinator of education for documenta 14 in Athens.
