Masterclass Vincent Icke
Op 10 en 11 februari en 30 maart organiseert de iArts opleiding van Maastricht een masterclass met astrofysicus en kunstenaar Vincent Icke op de Jan van Eyck Academie. De masterclass behandelt de rol, beperkingen en uitdagingen van de zintuiglijke ervaring in de kunsten. Behalve als professor in de theoretische astronomie aan de universiteit van Leiden en professor in de kosmologie aan de universiteit van Amsterdam, werkt Vincent Icke ook als kunstenaar en grafisch ontwerper in een breed gamma aan stijlen, media, toepassingen en concepten. Als ongewone combinatie van wetenschapper en kunstenaar, onderzoeker en leraar, specialist en populariseerder van wetenschap, is hij vaak te gast bij het televisieprogramma De Wereld Draait Door. 

De kosten voor de volledige masterclass bedragen € 150. Inschrijven kan bij will.bams@zuyd.nl.

Masterclass Vincent Icke
On 10 and 11 February and 30 March the iArts programme of Maastricht will organise a masterclass with astrophysicist and artist Vincent Icke at the Jan van Eyck Academie. The masterclass will address the role, limitations and challenges of sensory perception in the arts. Next to being a professor of theoretical astronomy at Leiden University and professor of cosmology at the University of Amsterdam, Vincent Icke is also an artist and graphic designer who works in a broad range of styles, media, applications and concepts. Being the rare combination of a scientist and artist, researcher and teacher, specialist and populariser of science, he is often a guest in Dutch television program me De Wereld Draait Door.
