Nieuwe data masterclass Vincent Icke
Op 30 en 31 maart organiseert de iArts opleiding van Maastricht een masterclass met astrofysicus en kunstenaar Vincent Icke op de Jan van Eyck Academie. De masterclass stond eerder gepland voor februari 2012, maar moest wegens ziekte van Icke worden geannuleerd. 

De masterclass behandelt de rol, beperkingen en uitdagingen van de zintuiglijke ervaring in de kunsten. Behalve als professor in de theoretische astronomie aan de universiteit van Leiden en professor in de kosmologie aan de universiteit van Amsterdam, werkt Vincent Icke ook als kunstenaar en grafisch ontwerper in een breed gamma aan stijlen, media, toepassingen en concepten. Als ongewone combinatie van wetenschapper en kunstenaar, onderzoeker en leraar, specialist en populariseerder van wetenschap, is hij vaak te gast bij het televisieprogramma De Wereld Draait Door.

New dates master class Vincent Icke
On 30 and 31 March the iArts programme of Maastricht is organising a master class with astrophysicist and artist Vincent Icke at the Jan van Eyck Academie. The masterclass was originally planned for February 2012, but had to be cancelled due to illness.

The master class addresses the role, limitations and challenges of sensory perception in the arts. Next to being a professor of theoretical astronomy at Leiden University and professor of cosmology at the University of Amsterdam, Vincent Icke is also an artist and graphic designer who works in a broad range of styles, media, applications and concepts. Being the rare combination of a scientist and artist, researcher and teacher, specialist and populariser of science, he is often a guest in Dutch television programme De Wereld Draait Door.
