Saturday May 13 2017 marked the 69th anniversary of the Jan van Eyck Academie. On this day in 1948 - the feast of patron Saint Servatius of Maastricht - the founding charter was signed by representatives of the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, the Province of Limburg, the city of Maastricht, and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Roermond.
On this occasion, we are happy to announce the opening of “MARGARET VAN EYCK – Multiform Institute for Fine Art, Design and Reflection”
MARGARET VAN EYCK comprises of the following components: The Margaret van Eyck Academie; the Caterina van Hemessen Academie; the Anne Pétronille Nypels Lab; the Luzia Hartsuyker-Curjel Lab; the Wilhelmina Minis-van de Geijn Lab; the Thérèse Cornips Lab; the Elsa Stansfield Lab.
The official inauguration ceremony takes place on July 11.
