UPDATE April 24, 2020
The Jan van Eyck Academie follows the the guidelines of the Dutch government and will remain closed to the public until September. In June we will organize an online public programme. In September we will be back with the Food Art Film Festival.
A group of new participants has now started their working period at a distance. We will welcome them to the academy from June onwards.
UPDATE 27 March 2020
Unfortunately the Jan van Eyck Academie will remain closed to the public and has to cancel all public events until at least 1 June, following the guidelines of the Dutch government. We will concentrate on facilitating our current and future participants in the best way possible from a distance.
We wish you all well in these difficult times.
13 March 2020
The Jan van Eyck Academie is taking protective measures to prevent further spreading of the COVID-19 Coronavirus.
It concerns preventive measures: no one of staff and resident-artists has been tested positive for the new coronavirus. But since the World Health Organization has declared this crisis pandemic, the Jan van Eyck Academie is taking its responsibility and is limiting social contact in order to protect its staff, resident-artists (and their relatives and friends), as well as its guests.
This means that from 13 March to 5 April, all public events will be cancelled, the café-restaurant and the library will be closed to visitors.
