SCREENMATTER #3: films by Ben Rivers chosen by Aily Nash

Screen Matter is a moving image programme organized by Van Eyck participants Alessandro Bertelle, Daniel Jacoby, Graham Kelly, Urok Shirhan and Beny Wagner. Screenings take place at the Lumière Cinema. 

On Tuesday 2 February at 19:30 film curator and programmer Aily Nash will present a selection of 3 short films by filmmaker Ben Rivers: Things, Sack Barrow, There is a Happy Land Further Away. The screening is followed by a discussion by Aily and Ben, and a Q&A with the audience (in English). 


Ben Rivers is an award winning artist and filmmaker represented by Kate MacGarry Gallery in London. Rivers won the FIPRESCI International Critics Prize, 68th Venice Film Festival for his first feature film Two Years At Sea. Aily Nash is a curator based in New York. She is co-curator of Projections, the New York Film Festival’s artists' film and video section, and the Film and Media curator at Basilica Hudson.
