Stéphanie Lagarde's film wins the 1st prize in the Short Waves Film Festival

Short Waves is a five day festival in Poznan (Poland) with a broad program consisting of 300 short films. The jury described Deployments as 'a unique cinematic work which strikes with captivating imagery'.

Deployments (2018) is an associative film about the relationship between symbolic and physical power. The film was previously screened at a number of prestigious festivals, such as DokLeipzig, Kasseler Dokfest, Transmediale (Berlin) and Videonale (Bonn). On the 27thof April, Deployments and Score, a video installation which was also produced by Video Power, will be shown at the European Media Art Festival in Osnabrück.

The jury described Deployments as 'a unique cinematic work which strikes with captivating imagery'. The award at the Short Waves Film Festival is a recognition of the successful collaboration between Stéphanie Lagarde and Video Power, who are currently finishing a second project: a film about the jezuïtenberg caves in Maastricht. 

Video Power is based in Maastricht and assists artists and filmmakers in developing, producing and distributing audiovisual projects.
