Op woensdag 9 september geeft grafisch ontwerper Hansje van Halem een presentatie over haar werk.
In 2003, Dutch graphic designer Hansje van Halem (1978) graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy and started her own studio in Amsterdam. Specialised in typography and book design, she creates alphabets, textures and patterns, both digitally and manually. She keeps track of a dizzying array of commissioned, applied, self-generated, rejected and unfinished sketches, type drawings, motifs and experiments (both successes and failures). Unused material often becomes a starting point for new client work.
In 2007 and 2010 Hansje designed the business stamps for the Dutch post. To illustrate the variety of projects: currently hansje is working on designing a fence, socks, wall paper and a book cover.
